MJÄLTSJUKA's atmospheric black metal style fits perfectly into the dark seasons. Similar to Tjaktjadálvve or old Coldworld the epic, melancholic songs offer an option for dark meditation and relaxation. Check the excellent "In My Tomb Of Solitude". H.L.

When there is talent involved, such lo-fi underground black metal with rumbling drums and washed out sound can create a dense abyssic atmosphere. THRENOMANCY captures very well the evil spirit of bands like (old) Darkthrone or Judas Iscariot and keywords like nightspirit, forest, solitude or wolf, give evidence that this album is not modern but very basic and true in every sense. Check the raging title-track or the intensive and most atmospheric "Deep Forest Trance". H.L.
